Everyday operators lose lots of calls because they cannot be completed. Missed Call Alert ensures that the subscriber does not miss any more calls even when the phone is switched off or out of coverage area by sending an SMS notification. MCA gives the subscribers a huge comfort zone of control over when they can be reached without worrying about missed calls. It is designed for mobile users who do not want to miss any important or urgent calls because:
- their mobile phone is switched off (e.g. during important meetings, on a flight, etc.)
- their mobile phone is out of battery
- they are out of mobile network coverage in certain remote areas
- they are busy (talking on the phone, no call waiting, etc.)
Frequently, the caller will not leave a message generating no revenue to the operator. MCA service application keeps a record of non attended calls and once the phone is again accessible by the network a call summary will alert the subscriber of missed call through SMS.
The MCA notification details the time, calling party number and/or name, and number of attempts for each missed call. At a glance the subscriber can quickly review the list, the selectively call back any of the callers. Out roamers can save on long distance charges incurred in calling back home to access voice mail. |
